Tobias Steinke

TobiasTobias was born on the 6th of August 1971 and lives in Mainz (Germany). He's recently found a job at SHS Frankfurt after studying Computer Sciences. He is in a long-term relationship with Katja Stöckigt.

Tobias has been a Falco-fan since his youth, and his fave songs include The Kiss of Kathleen Turner, Rock Me Amadeus (Salieri Mix) and No Time for Revolution. He's into a lot of other artists, e.g. Joe Jackson, Die Ärzte (die beste Band der Welt), gothic stuff, some German Hip Hop and so on.

As stated on the page itself, this poem, which is actually a song text, was inspired by the story of this 15-year old girl from his hometown Mainz, Bianca, who ran away from home last February (1999) and travelled to Vienna to visit Falco's grave on the anniversary of his death. She was found a full week after she'd dissappeared by the Viennese police. A German tabloid suggested she had considered suicide.

It is of course hard to imagine what the final song will be like (and hopefully I will be able to feature an extract once it is finished ;-), but the lyrics can easily stand on their own, as a poem, which is why I included it.
