• Falco's Song Europa as a hymn against the FPÖ (the right-wing party that has been very successful in Austria recently). At a demonstration, the 'Lichtermeer 2', whhich took place on the 12th of November in Vienna, the song was played. Falco took part in one of the previous 'Lichtermeers' himself.

• According to News Window, work on the Falco Musical is seriously on. The plans to the show were presented in Vienna yesterday. Joshua Sobol is working on the script, Thomas Rabitsch (!) will compose the music and Paulus Manker should be director. "Falco - A Cybershow" is going to be very futuristic, combining the atmosphere of a rock concert with that of classic theatre (with laser shows and 3D animations). The new Falco Single Verdammt wir leben noch has been available for a couple of days now (check Libro or CD 4 You to order). At Falco Calling you can listen to an extract, thanks to an .mp3 Preview!!! (extract, 26 sec., 56 kbps, 22.000 kHz, 187 KB). If you have problems downloading, try this server. • Rumour has it that a new Falco album (or EP single?) will be released around the end of October! This album should contain a few of the previously unreleased songs that Hans had been working on, like Dame Europa and Königin von Eschnapur.

• The new tombstone has arrived! I'm afraid I haven't got any photos so far, but the new gravestone has finally been inaugurated on the 2nd of September, in the presence of several more or less important people :-)

• It looks like the preparations for the planned DoRo-film about Falco's life are going ahead. Starting from the end of September, there will be castings, and more than 50 applicants have been retained. The film is based on the half fictional, half biographical book by the DoRos, and teh rest of the project will be in the hands of the BAVARIA Film Company.

It is now official, the tombstone at the Zentralfriedhof will be inaugurated on the 2nd of September 1999. There had been problems because of the considerable size of the monument. Here, you can see a photo of what Hans' mum had planned to have as a tombstone (taken from Austrian mag "NEWS"). Let's see what compromise they've come up with now.

• The show Risiko was on 2 days ago, sorry I didn't tell you on time. Anyway, our "Macher" Andreas actually won and got 12.300 DM, quite an impressive amount of money! Well done :-)

• Are you German or Austrian? Well, what are you doing here anyway? Go to the German Version of the Site. Seriously now, there are news about an agency wanting fans for interviews - check it!
• 'Der Macher' Andreas, who has a wonderful Falco Site, the Homebase, is going to the German show Risiko on ZDF, where he will be tested on his Falco knowledge. I don't know when it will be broadcast just yet, but I'll tell you on time.

• Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of a report of the secret appearance Michael Patrick Simoner was supposed to do at the Donauinselfest on the 26th of June. However, photos of the performance should be on display at: m.p.s. - hair, Getreidemarkt 14, 1010 Wien.

• The latest news I have is the Mid-May release of the "The Final Curtain" Video Collection by the "Torpedo Twins". The track listing is as follows:

• In other news, we're still hoping for Hans' (presumably impressive) tombstone to be finished any time soon. At the moment, there is still a temporary grave.
   
• There are rumours about a Falco film, a Falco musical and a Falco museum in Gars am Kamp, but nobody knows anything for sure. I'll keep you informed.
